What was your first EDM track you have heard which made you fall in love with this genre?

Easy, it was Walls by Sultan and Ned Shepard. I was in the car with a couple of friends heading to my first festival and they were playing Tiesto’s Club Life Vol. 2. At the time I wasn’t too into the music I was just going for my friends birthday and when that song came on in the car I immediately fell in love. It was so catchy; the melody and uplifting chords just gave me goose bumps. That entire night I kept anticipating a DJ to play it haha, which happened!

When did you first started with producing music?

I started producing Electronic Music back in January of 2013. It was right after Lights all Night in Dallas and I was so inspired by the culture and good vibes so I started creating the music. I think I had gotten introduced to the scene 7 months prior to that. I was previously in a metal band but due to creative differences we split up and that’s what led me to pursue a solo career as an electronic dance music artist.  The same friend that took me to my first festival kept boosting me and telling me I could produce the music and to pursue it as a career, and here I am now haha

How did you come up with your DJ name?

I came up with Eden in the fall of 2014, I was going through a rough time emotionally and mentally and producing music was my serenity. I’d get such a euphoric feeling every time I’d finish a new song and its what kept me going. In Hebrew, Eden means Delight, and the Garden of Eden was always depicted as a place of paradise and tranquility. Music was my paradise and what brought happiness to me so my project ultimately became known as Eden.

Which DAW do you use and why?

I use FL Studio 10 for creating the music and Pro Tools 11 for mixing. I use FL because its what I’m familiar with now, I can sit down and lay out an idea I have in a matter of minutes instead of trying to learn something new, losing my creativity in the process. Its easy on the eyes and the layout is self explanatory.  I use Pro Tools for mixing because that’s what we learned on in recording arts school, so I bounce my stems from FL and dump them into Pro Tools where I then mix them. I own both Ableton and Logic X and I am slowly learning how to use both.

What are your favorite plugins for synths, mastering and effects?

I live by Sylenth1 haha I know that plugin inside and out. Most of the sounds you hear in my music are from Sylenth1, I create my own synths and also tweak existing presets to fit with what I want in the song. I use Nexus for layering different Pads and Basses, as well as my go to for Pianos. One of my favorite plugins to use during mixing is V-EQ4 by Waves, I probably use it on almost every track. It brings out the life out of anything I use it on. As for effects right now I’m really enjoying RealVerb Pro, I used it on one of my latest songs that feature a percussion section and it gave them such a natural and big reverb! One of the best reverbs I’ve used.

If you could do a collaboration with any artist out there, what would be your top 3 (and why)?

Chris Martin, Ferry Corsten, and Armin van Buuren. I’ve been a Coldplay fan since I was a kid and a huge fan of Chris’ voice and lyrical compositions. Ferry Corsten because hes the king of Uplifting music and Armin because hes my biggest inspiration! The dudes a genius both musically and with business. His music never disappoints, even when he explores outside of the Trance genre.

What do you usually drink when you are in the studio to get inspiration?

Lipton Green Tea! I can go through a 6 pack of those in one session, its just enough caffeine that doesn’t make me too jittery and keeps me focused.

If you could travel the world as a DJ what would be the three items you will always bring with you in your bag?

My Jamstik so I can play guitar on the road, a 10ft charging cable, and my gaming laptop haha.

2016 just started, what can we expect in the upcoming year from you?

A lot! I have a single that I did with a good friend of mine that’s coming out on iTunes sometime in February, along with a music video. I also have a couple of songs scheduled for release during the Spring/Summer time, one on a Trance label so I’m pretty excited about that. 2016 is going to be a good year, it’s the first year I can finally showcase Eden to the world. You’ll see very quickly that Eden is a mix of Trance and Progressive House so it should definitely appeal to a lot of audiences!
