Spurious is a chill out / lounge music project by Dutch Dj / Producer John Deviate and started around 2002. As John always kept these songs private the first release of Spurious was not until 2015! That year Spurious came with a complete artist album on Housepital’s ADSR Records and went to the #1 position worldwide on the Beatport Chill-Out Charts! Unlike his music this didn’t happen on downtempo.
In 2016 multiple singles came out and appeared on many compilations.
Chill Out Now
After the successful releases Spurious extended his musical empire with a monthly radio show under the name of “Chill Out Now”. The radio show just had it’s first episode but already seems to extend the succes which Spurious had so far. Whether listening in a lounge or through your headphones, Spurious knows how to set the atmosphere with his downtempo beats.
The Future
When we ask Spurious to his future plans he tells us: “besides that I will keep on coming with new releases and new episodes of my radio show, I will also be available for bookings. You take care of the palm trees and I will provide a relaxed set.
