6. Video above photo?

Social Media is a fast moving medium, and video works best in 2016! If you are on Instagram or facebook: give it a shot! Motion pictures tell more than still pictures. All good (smart)phones are currently packed with a good camera, but we advice you to invest a little bit in a good (DSLR)Camera or action camera (GoPro).

There are plenty of people in the world who have one so maybe you can borrow one (or even better: let your friend(s) record you)! Just remember, when filming make sure the first seconds are already interesting enough so people keep watching. Some ideas you can do: in the studio movie, request for the tracks of the mixtape (see hack tip 5), video of you being at your favorite festival, etc.! The world has so much to offer and people love to see it!
