10 Social Media Tips That Will Increase Your Engagement 2016

4. Use #Hashtags (the right way)

how-not-to-use-hashtags

We cannot stress enough to use Hashtags the right way. The most important Social Media channels use them: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Though we feel a lot of people use them wrong. You can use #Like4Like, #Follow4Follow of course, but will this generate any interaction with people who like, share and love the same material you do? There are also plenty of applications out there who automatically like content for people who use the same app, but the downside is that you will also engage with content you don’t know about since that same app likes or shares material on your behalve. We discourage you to use that or use bad hashtags.

“All it takes is 15 to 30 minutes to examine the hashtags that do work and are relevant to your niche”

On Instagram for example, if you want to reach more audience you should use the right hashtags. Keep an eye on the hashtags that are trending. A good place to start and examine which hashtags could be interesting for you is Iconosquare. It’s free to use and very easy. First find (a maximum of 30) hashtags that are relevant to your post. When posting try and engage and follow people that use the same hashtags. They get notified when you do and maybe you can draw some interaction with them (if your content is king of course and sticks with your niche). This way you can build up a nice network of people and potential fans/followers!

To speed things up we have been so kind to share some of the hashtags that really worked for us on Instagram:
