Well this is unexpected. After publicly exclaiming his disdain for EDM culture, Diplo has gone on to collaborate with the most EDM artists in the scene, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

If you read our in-depth interview with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (coming soon), you’ll know that they’re actually extremely humble guys who understand how the dance music industry works. Their massive success is the result of years of hard work, and their big room personas don’t even begin to encompass their musical aspirations. Still, that doesn’t exonerate them from their status as kings of “hands in the air” EDM. It’s not the first time Diplo and DV&LM have worked together, but after Diplo said the “DJ world is the corniest f–ing group of people,” well, we don’t know what to think.

The new collaboration was premiered at Greece’s Ejekt Festival, and right at the video’s onset you can hear the duo exclaim, “our brand new track together with Diplo of Major Lazer.” We’re not sure if that means it’s a collaboration with Major Lazer, or just Diplo, but the vocals pack all the intoxicating swagger of Peace Is The Mission and that initial breakdown is the epitome of a “Lean On” extension if there ever was one. Enter the second drop, and we’re thrown a heaping dose of DV&LM’s big room, and wait for it… yep, there goes the chant. Listen below to the video taken by Kostas Dbzs and see what’s in store for this unreleased ID.
