Pioneer hasn’t earned their status as the industry standard just willy nilly, the company consistently pushes out quality products that simply work. Now, their freshly announced DDJ-RZX controller is taking up the mantle as one of the gnarliest pieces of hardware on the market. The RZX’s build quality is directly influenced by the CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM mixers, including the jog wheels and studio-grade sound coloring FX. Additionally, the four-channel mixer teams up with hot cue pads and complex FX capabilities to provide the ultimate controller. However, the biggest change allows users to take full advantage of Pioneer’s new Rekordbox Video software, with three 7″ touch screens to control and monitor audio and video.Unfortunately, the RZX is not a completely stand-alone device, and will require a laptop to function. And while the $2,999 price tag is a bit steep, if you’re a working DJ, this might be exactly what you’re looking for.
