In mid-June, Las Vegas becomes the scene of a global invasion that can only be described as an unearthly phenomenon. Multitudes of people of every age and race lay siege to the desert valley. They come from across the U.S.; they come from around the world. Some ramble through in cars; others tumble out of buses. There are also a few who seem to have trusted only their feet. They form a peculiar army with a goal of peace rather than war. If you’re an alien to the EDM scene, you’ll find this invasion most disturbing. Indeed, American media sources tend to overlook the growing phenomena of EDM. Do not fear. As I said earlier, it isn’t a war.It’s EDC. A festival that celebrates EDM and its devoted revelers.
Last year, nearly 400,000 music lovers converged on Sin City to witness EDM legends such as Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Gaia, Dash Berlin, and Markus Schulz. Eclectic and energetic, EDC immersed revelers in every genre of EDM over the an unforgettable weekend. This year expects even better from the electric playground.
