Knox Hardly is one of those artists you just want to put on your watch list! After a great Amsterdam Dance Event, where he released a single, we are very happy he had some time for us to visit him in the studio!
What was your first EDM track you have heard which made you fall in love with this genre?
got to be, dvbbs & Borgeous – tsunami, it was on a Tv add & i wanted to know more about it and the production side
When did you first started with producing music?
i think around 2011 not too sure.
How did you came up with your DJ name?
funny story i put in google cool boy names & ‘Knox’ was in the top 5 and i wanted ‘Hardly’ in there to because there’s a few Dj’s with ‘hard / hardly’ in their names.
Which DAW do you use and why?
Fl studio, i was looking for a software that i could work fast on & lay a idea down within a hour or so
What are your favorite plugins for synths, mastering and effects?
Nexus & sylenth1, working my way around Serum, mastering i use izotope ozone, for effects vengeance & kshmr Vol.2.
If you could do a collaboration with any artist out there, what would be your top 3 (and why)?
Now this is a very good question, My Dream is to collaborate with avicii ellie goulding & john martin for cancer research uk.
What do you usually drink when you are in the studio to get inspiration?
Tea – ha ha.
If you could travel the world as a DJ what would be the three items you will always bring with you in your bag?
Laptop, Phone, tablet.
2017 is around the corner, what can we expect from you in the upcoming year?
Lots of new Music with some collaborations & hopefully some touring !
