Brand new start of the week and we kick it off with a huge single by Raveland! His latest track “Big One 28” is now available on I-Tunes! To celebrate we have been invited by Raveland and talk about music in his studio! Get to know him and read the full interview below!

What was your first EDM track you have heard which made you fall in love with this genre?

I have been in love with electronic music since a very long time. However, I started falling in love with EDM because of tracks like Infinity, Adagio for strings, Insomnia, Mirage, and Don’t you worry child.

When did you first started with producing music?

It is a bit weird and funny that I only thought about producing music recently while I have been in love with it for years. I even travel the world to attend the best festivals. I believe Tomorrowland was the main reason why I started thinking about production and started learning. Tomorrowland became an annual tradition to me and my dream is to play there one day.

How did you came up with your DJ name?

I started raving since 2012 during Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour. Since then, raving became my drug! I went to Tomorrowland and Sensation three times so far. Of course I have been to other festivals like Creamfields and Barcelona Beach Festival too. This is why I came up with “Raveland” because I believe it identifies me.

Which DAW do you use and why?

I use Logic Pro. When I started learning, I used to use GarageBand. They have a very similar interface, but of course Logic Pro is way more broad and enhanced. I also love that you can literally create anything on Logic.

What are your favorite plugins for synths, mastering and effects?

I am in love with Alchemy, Arpeggiator and Ultrabeat.

If you could do a collaboration with any artist out there, what would be your top 3 (and why)?

Armin Van Buuren is my legend! I hope I can even meet him one day. Doing a collaboration with him would be a big dream coming true. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are also my favorite. I always have a feeling that I am very related to them and I share the same madness. I wish I see my name next to theirs one day too. Last but not least, the talented Martin Garrix. This guy is extremely talented and I hope I can make it to the top this fast just like him. I wish I can work on something with him.

What do you usually drink when you are in the studio to get inspiration?

Well, I either drink Red Bull, I smoke (normal cigs lol) or both.

If you could travel the world as a DJ what would be the three items you will always bring with you in your bag?

My laptop, my midi keyboard and my beats.

2016 is almost over, what can we expect in the upcoming year from you?

Loads of unexpected tunes, and hopefully touring!
