About ELI

What was your first EDM track you have heard which made you fall in love with this genre?

I listen to electronic music before people started using the EDM term. I was really into experimental stuff and trance. But I have to go with ‘Above & Beyond – Satellite’ beautiful and melodic track, it give me goosepump.

When did you first started with producing music?

I started producing electronic music five years ago in a band that I had that time, which was metalcore with electronic music. It was fun lol.

How did you came up with your DJ name?

Eli is my real name. so there is nothing behind that lol.

Which DAW do you use and why?

I started using a Linux DAW and it was a pain in the @ss. Its called Linux Multi Media Studio (LMMS). Now I use Fl Studio. I like the workflow of it, I can work faster my ideas.

What are your favorite plugins for synths, mastering and effects?

I think the same as everybody else lol Massive, Sylenth. My favorite is Harmor which is a Fl Studio synth. I like to master my songs with Ozone I think is really easy to use and give you a decent result.

If you could do a collaboration with any artist out there, what would be your top 3 (and why)?

One of my dream is to work with Björk, she does not make EDM but for me is one of the best artist ever, she’s always ahead of everybody else. she’s super talented and I love everything she does. Other artist I would love to work with from the scene, I have to say ‘Porter Robinson’ Cuz he’s one of the most original producer in the scene right now (in my opinion) and is one of my influence. I would love to work with Utada Hikaru she’s a J-POP singer from Japan. Her voice is beautiful and sweet.

What do you usually drink when you are in the studio to get inspiration?

Coffee, Coffee & MORE Coffee.

If you could travel the world as a DJ what would be the three items you will always bring with you in your bag?

My Magic the gathering cards. My Ipad so I can watch my animes. And all my jackets. I love jackets. Im a pretty simple guy lol.

2016 is half way, what can we expect in the upcoming months from you?
